Founded by Mary Wheeler Eaton in 1920, the St. Petersburg Historical Society’s first museum was originally located in a small stucco building formerly housing an aquarium. The current building, located at the Pier entrance, was built in 1950. The Museum facility has been refurbished and updated over the years including the 1991 addition of the First Flight Gallery, commemorating the first commercial airline flight that took place in 1914 between St. Petersburg and Tampa.
Personalized bricks and tiles are a great tribute to honor family, friends, or colleagues, commemorate a special moment, or just show your support for St. Petersburg’s oldest museum. Each brick or tile is engraved with your chosen message, an enduring recognition of your part in preserving St. Petersburg’s past for its future residents and visitors.

Now we need to surround this with fans!
