The Royalty Triumphs and Tragedies exhibit continues at the St. Petersburg Museum of History through September 28th giving Princess Diana fans an extended opportunity to see a collection of her dresses from the Christies Auction and to learn about the Pink Ribbons Crusade, a not for profit charity for breast cancer, that sponsors the Diana installation.
As a fundraiser tie-in to this exhibit, the Pink Ribbons Crusade is offering a Limited Edition porcelai
n doll by designers Crees and Coe. The dolls can be purchased online or at the Museum.
It was designed exclusively for Pink Ribbons before Peter Coe passed away this year. With Coe’s death the dolls have increased in value. The money raised from selling the doll will benefit the Museum and the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
The doll portrays a young Diana in a periwinkle blue evening gown designed by Donald Campbell, which the Princess wore during her 1983 tour of New Zealand.
The doll comes with a glittering crown and appropriate jewelry. Each is numbered and is part of a limited edition of only 300. The price is $295 including shipping, insurance and handling.
