In order to maintain the Museum's high level of educational and historic programs, we are currently recruiting volunteers. Volunteering at the Museum offers an opportunity to assist staff in preserving the history of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County.
Volunteers are an integral part of Museum operations. Positions are available in areas such as the front desk, the Museum store, education, exhibits, administration, and in the archives and collections. The Museum also has opportunities for persons interested in greeting visitors as they enter the museum. Volunteers interested in becoming docents are also welcome to join the Museum's team. Docents guide tour groups through exhibits and talk about the history of St. Petersburg.
The St. Petersburg Museum of History recognizes volunteer contributions through an annual volunteer appreciation party, discount in the Museum store, and, after 50 hours of volunteer work, a one-year Family membership.
