The Florida Folk Concert Series was created to bring together folk fans and folk heritage musicians. As the city's oldest museum, the St. Petersburg Museum of History invites you to celebrate the history, evolution and impact of folk music on popular culture.

May 9 - "Cracker Chroniclers of Florida Folk" Featuring: Stetson Kennedy and Frank Thomas 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The St. Petersburg Museum of History, in partnership with the Florida Humanities Council, will present an intimate evening with two of the state’s most famous "Cracker Chroniclers," author/folklorist Stetson Kennedy and singer/songwriter Frank Thomas, May 9. The 7 p.m. event will include an essay on Florida folk culture by the 94-year-old Mr. Kennedy, a folk music concert by Mr. Thomas, the screening of a TV documentary about the Florida Folk Festival and an interactive panel discussion with the two guests, the audience, USF Professor Gary Mormino and other folklore academics.
