ST. PETERSBURG MUSEUM OF HISTORY OPENING NIGHT WINE AND CHEESE RECEPTION:

"IMAGES OF THE PAST MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE FUTURE"

WHAT: St. Petersburg Museum of History is hosting the first area HDR Photography exhibit with the cooperation of 14 North Pinellas Photography Forum photographers. The exhibit showcases photographic recreations of 32 historical images selected from the museum archives using cutting edge digital photography called high dynamic range. HDR produces images with an exceptionally broad tonal range of luminosity. The exhibit will be broadcast in real time through the social media group St. Pete Tweets.

ST. PETERSBURG MUSEUM OF HISTORY: The Mission of the St. Petersburg Museum of History is to collect, preserve and communicate the history and heritage of Florida with emphasis on St. Petersburg and the Pinellas Peninsula.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: The 14 area photographers range from pros to talented amateurs, a retired physician to a soon-to-be mom. On March 6th from 11:00am-3:00pm, come join us for a day of fine art fun with original Florida Highwayman artist, R. L. Lewis. Activities will include live demonstrations, and questions and answers session. Original artwork and prints will also available for purchase. $5 Suggested Donation.
